Nope.

Scopolamine is a drug used for motion sickness and nausea. If someone is dying, it is sometimes used to dry up the secretions that people call a death rattle. They have nothing to do with smoking cessation.

Reply to Kerry's Post: my nephew and niece both claimed that the dr. gave them a shot in the hip and behind both ears. the patches were to be placed at the location of the injections and the series of oral meds to be taken to completion once a day.
   apparently according to them that the area that caused the craving was deadened or interrupted and their claim is that they haven't wanted to or even attempted to pick up a cigarette since. they say it is liked they have never smoked.
    their dr. is out of town this week and won't be back till next week and now we have a hurricane coming in so i'm not really sure when i will be able to get ahold of him.they said that the only side effects were cotton mouth and heavy drowsiness the first night.
   maybe this is a new thing.could you possibly check further.
