Sent to Health Experts January 03, 2006 12:29 a.m.

MY HUSBAND QUIT SMOKING CIGARETTES YESTERDAY. HE HAS NOT HAD ANY NICOTINE FOR OVER 48 HOURS. HE USED TO SMOKE 1 PACK A DAY. HE IS EXPERIENCING ALOT OF PAIN IN HIS RIGHT ARM AND HAVING COLD SWEATS. HE ALSO ATE ALOT OF SUGAR (CANDY)THIS EVENING IN LUE OF THE CIGARETTES. DO YOU THINK THIS PAIN IS A SYMPTOM OF THE LACK OF NICOTINE IN HIS SYSTEM OR COULD IT BE SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS, LIKE A HEART ATTACK? HE IS 32 YEARS OLD, 6 FOOT TALL, AND WEIGHS 250 LBS.

Optional Information:
Male , Age: 32

Already Tried:

ACCEPTED Check Mark

They are signs of a heart attack. But it may be a combination of the nicotine withdrawals and a sugar rush as well if he ate a lot of candy.

Here is an excellent site to explain more about heart attack symptoms as well.

Also here is a site that gives symptoms of nicotine withdrawals as well.

Hope this helps, if you are unsure, you may wish to take him just to be on the safe side. I'm not that to evaluate him. So it would be hard to say which it may be. But at the hospital they will know for sure.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *accept* button!
