Thank you for your excellent question!

There are a few ways to raise your HDL:

  • Aerobic Exercise - Walking, running, bike riding, etc.
  • Losing Weight - Obesity lowers the HDL level. I don't know if that applies to your situation, but if you have a few pounds to lose this is as good a reason as any!
  • Stop Smoking - Giving up tobacco increases HDL levels
  • Alcohol - Adding a glass of wine to a daily diet can help raise HDL levels. (Please note, adding 10 glasses of wine would not be 10x helpful!) Images available only to Customers.

  • Cut out Trans Fats - Cutting out the Trans fats will help raise the levels of your HDL
  • Fiber - Oats, fruits and vegetables that are high in soluable figer will help raise you HDL level.
  • Monounsaturated fats - Olive oil, canola oil and peanut butter are examples of what can raise HDL levels.

I hope you find this information to be useful. Best of luck to you and your HDL! Please don't forget to "Accept" my answer!

Regards,

Ryan
