Following c5/C6 anterior discectomy & fusion in summer of 2006 I have been very unwell. It was discovered I had severe infection which anti-biotics could not cure. The surgery was for right-sided problems including numbness, spasm, pain, paraesthesia. Surgery corrected the spinal cord contact, but failed to improve the symptoms. For approx. 1 year, I get regular rash on right elbow, shoulder & arm-pit which is small pimple-sized blisters. My consultant has never seen this before, so is unable to explain it. My feet are badly affected by numbness, pain & red/purple colour. Not able to stand-up for long. Have another ruptured disc at L5/S1 & condition is degenerative. I am 49. It is anticipated that the rupturing will progress along spine. Need morphine & cocktail of other pain-relief. I would like to know about the rash & my feet problems & possibly diagnosis.?????
