Your best bet is to make an appointment with your physician so they can run some x-rays and/or an MRI to determine if there is nerve damage. If that turns out to be the case they will most likely refer you to a Neurologist who can provide the best course of treatment for this condition. In some cases of pinched nerves it depends on the severity as to whether or not an anti-inflammatory approach therapy will work. In alot of cases most physicians will try this course of treatment to see if the body responds to it, if not then further action must be taken to correct the problem, even possible surgery or a pain management regiment. As far as for home care the best you can do is take some Motrin or Tylenol and use some heat therapy, but it does sound like you have pinched a nerve so an appointment with your physician for the appropriate testing is warrented.
