What is the best method to cure fibroids

I was just informed that the reason I have had two miscarriages, is because I have a 7cm fibroid. I went to a specialist and he advised me to get a myomectamy to get the fibroid removed. I just want to make sure if this is the best method to get my fibroid removed, or if there are other methods out there that may not be as risky. The thought of me getting the cut, makes me nervous. I also, the savest procedure done, not a procedure that might harm my reproductive system.
