Why do most ear-type private companies NOT have an M.D. on ...

Sent to Health Experts November 17, 2005 1:46 p.m.

Why do most ear-type private companies NOT have an M.D. on duty? What can an M.D. do for me that I did not ghet from the Miracle Ear guy? I have limited funds and a low paying medical plan! What is the operation you mentioned? By the way, I do think I've recovered slightly since the original "shooting/hearing" incident.

Optional Information:
Male , Age: 64

Already Tried:
Nothing, but a consultation and "exam" at Miracle ear.

Thank you, but I was asking about an M.D., not an audiologist - what's the difference?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

an audiologist is not an MD, and as the links explain, has more indepth knowledge and training to perform testing that an MD would not.

Thanks again, but now my curiosity has to do with what maybe Nurse "Kery" said was recommended surgery for replacement of part of the ear - what's that all about - can you find his first answer to me? Thank you.

I'll pay you the same as a I paid him, OK?

Relist: I still need help.
Tell me more about an M.D., doing ear surgery.
When is that necessary?

Tell me more about when and why an M.D. would perform surgery - versus a hearing aid.

Also, Kerry never answered my questions about hearing "enhancement" devices sold to hunters,
such as muffs, with cut-offs for load shooting noices, while being able to listen for anmals walking in the leaves.... Although there are several, one manufacturer is the Walker Game
Ear(s)...
