Older Grandmother and Surgery

My Grandmother is 98 and about to have her gallbadder removed. How risky is this surgery to people her age? What are the survival statistics? I'm very concerned. She has a pace-maker and takes cumadin to avoid clots in her legs. Other than that, she is pretty healthy (as far as she tells me).
