my husband had surgery for a hernia, and also has sleep apena. He was told he would have to spent the night because of his sleep apena and now our ins. does not want to pay for the overnight, which was ordered by two doctors. I would like some info. on sleep apena and surgery. They said they wanted to keep him the night so they could keep an eye on him though the night, because of his sleep apnea.

i have tried looking all over the web, but cannot find anything that will help me as far as sleep apnea and my husbands surgery. I just want to find some answers on why the ins. company does not think this over night was needed. Two doctors thought it was.I would like to know why the doctors thought this was needed, but the ins. company keeps saying that a hernia operation is a out patient procedure, and are not going to pay for anything because of my husband spending the night. I just want to understand why the doctors thought is neccasary to him to stay.
