I had surgery recently and had to have a blood workup. Do they screen for HIV? I also ended up loosing a lot of blood after the surgury and needed a blood transfusion. Would they also have to check for HIV or AIDS? I ended up in the emergency room and they did a blood work up. If they found abnormalties would they do an aids test? I don't think I have HIV or AIDS. I just want to make sure.
