On an MRI report can you tell me what a small joint

On an MRI report can you tell me what a small joint effusion is? With a slight heterogeneity to the lateral facet of the patella? Mild chondromalacia of the patella with a small joint effusion. Help! In english what does this mean?

a small joint effusion is small amount of fluid from inflammation. The patella is worn unevenly and you have some roughness on the underside of the patella (knee cap)
there is a j brace for this condition and then surgery by scope if that does not help
