How serious is my condition when I have to take ...

How serious is my condition when I have to take B12 shots once a month for the rest of my life and also now I have to have interveniously put iron in my veins once a week.? I am a 66 year old female my name is Nancy Williams and I can not get my doctor to say much..Just that I need it..
