I am a 40 yr. old woman. About 6 months ago, during an endoscopy, my doctor found something called a nodule in my antrum. That's the last he spoke to me about it. Is this something I should be worried about? I mean, should it be removed even if it's not cancerous?

Female , Age: 40

Talking to my doctor, but he keeps avoiding me for some reason.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

A nodule is basically a raised area on the skin or tissue that is in most cases larger than 10 millimeters. If it is not causing problems or the doctor did not seem concerned that it could be cancerous it would be something I would ask him about so you are aware of the results but if it is not cancerous or causing any problems then they do not recommend surgery for something such as this. But I do recommend since he meantioned it and has never given you his opinion on it that you ask him about it so you have more peace of mind but I am sure that if he had a concern then he would have removed it.
