Three years ago I noticed I had an inverted nipple. I contacted my doctor and he suggest I get a mammogram. The test showed nothing. Now I my inverted nipple will not become erect at all and I am having some sorness and pain in the breast. I do self breast exams regularly and find nothing. My question is could this just be something I am going to have to live with or is there a procedure to cure this?
It is embarassing to wear a swim suit or tank top! ( my age is 33)

There is a procedure for surgery to correct inverted nipples so I would suggest that you look into this procedure as it would be very helpful to you. The inverted nipple can cause pain and soreness and it is good you had a mommogram and it did come back negative. I can understand your wanting to have this corrected so I including a link that shows the type of procedure they use to correct an inverted nipple. Your best bet would be to contact a plastic surgeon in your area and have a consultation to see about this procedure in your area.
