Hello... I am a thirty-seven-year-old female. Two days ago, while showering, I discovered my left leg from the knee above was numb. Not tingling or painful, just numb. Soon after, I noticed the numbness begins under my left breast, continues down my abdomen and stops right above my knee. This is only on my left side. It feels numb deep in the tissue, but not directly on the surface of my skin. I liken it to the sensation of a healed surgery incision. The numbness is not painful, but constant. What should I do?

Numbness is usually caused by a pinched nerve somewhere. In your case, it may be in your neck or back. I highly suggest having it investigated by a doctor. If it is an inflammed or pinched nerve, the faster it is treated the more likely you are for a full recovery.
