I have a problem. I am a 21 year old woman who has had multiple sex partners. I was with the same guy for 2 years. He was very big and we had sex at least 5 times a week. Now my vagina is loose and I don't enjoy sex anymore and am afraid that the looseness will prevent me from finding a husband. Do you think I'm too young for the surgery. If so, what are my options to get back to sexual freedom. Now is the time I should be at my prime, but I don't feel that way.

First have a pelvic exam (if you haven't had one within the past year). Certain conditions can afffect the vaginal anatomy and impair pleasure.

Your loss of pleasure may be related to loosening of the musculature (as opposed to stretched skin) Try:

Kegel exercises. These are isometric contractions of the muscle at the vaginal opening that are held for a period of time (seconds) and then repeated.

Vaginal cones or weights can also strengthen the muscles.

Go to: http://www.kegel-exercise.com/ for instruction, in depth info and/or to purchase the vaginal weights.

Surgery should always be a final option.

Good luck to you.

During this process do you suggest that I abstain from sexual activity for a while, or least until the exercises begin to work. Besides I'm young and maybe surgery is at little extreme, I have just been overwhelmed with disappointment. Do have any other more detailed advice.

I don't think abstaining for a short period of time will help significantly.

I found a site describing a non-surgical procedure to tighten the vaginal tissue, but I can not vouch for it's effectiveness. You can look into it at:

There are herbal creams that claim to tighten the vaginal tissue at the opening.
http://nawtythings.com/herbal_tightening.html
offers several choices.

The muscle tightening exercises will likely help the most. You can also try placing a pillow under your hips during intercourse. This changes the angle of entry and may enhance your sensations.
