During my mentral cycle my belly button bleeds every month for about a year now. What might be the cause of this? Colleen Haskell

I don't think so. However I had my appendix removed, but that is a little scar away from my belly button.

Ok, then that means your appendectomy was done laparoscopically.

You may have a yeast infection. Do you also smell an odor in the area?

Try this: at the pharmacy, pick up 1% hydrocortisone and 1% clotrimazole (both OTC). Apply each twice a day in the order described. If it's not gone in 10 days, see a dermatolgist.
