Hi

Any history of trauma in spine?

Is the pain generalised or localised?

Any history of burning micturation?

Any past history of kidney stone?

Diarrhoea or constipation?

I had four vertabrae fused two years ago...then had a major pulmonary embolism.
The pain is localised.
No history of burning micturation.
No history of kidney stones.
No diarrhoea or constipation. Just had a decent bowel movement about an hour ago.

Hi

The two important causes of pain in this area include renal colic or spinal cause.

In your case history is suggestive of spinal origin of pain.

This needs further investigations like MRI to rule out disc prolapse which may be pressing the nerve and causing pain .
