okay, well i had hernia surgery about a month ago, and they told me before my surgery that if i were to have blood in my poop, then i was to go straight to the ER, well up until a few days ago i have been doing great with my re-hab, and then blood appeard in my poop, what could be the problem. did i tear my hernia repair, and what should i do. thank you for your time.

Yes this is possible that there is a problem with the hernia repair as even straining to have a bowel movement can cause a tear, so you should consider being seen. It is also possible that you may have an internal or external hemmeroid so this is something to consider as well but since you have had recent surgery I would follow their advice and be seen as if this is not a hemmeroid and you use a suppository it can cause further complications so better to be safe and find out it is not a tear then to take a chance on complications with the hernia repair.
