Question

Bumps on Penis shaft

Sent to Health Experts August 22, 2006 1:57 p.m.

I have been with the same partner for over 3 years in a monogomous (heterosexual) relationship. Before this I had very few partners. 3 months ago I noticed 5-6 very small (less than 2mm) spots on the underside shaft of my penis about half way down. They do not hurt and have not gotten bigger, they look like very small pimples but are the same exact color as the rest of the penis. They do not hurt and are perfectly round dome shaped no depression in the middle. When I feel them they are smooth but are definetly raised above the skin level. I am going to see my GP about them next week but should I be worried? Thanks.

They are probably Sebaceous cysts , but genital warts needs to be ruled out. So , i suggest to you to see a doctor.

Hi. I understand your problem and I have delt with many patients such as yourself who have the same symptoms. These bumps are most likely warts caused by HPV(Human Papilloma Virus). HPV is a virus that is transmitted by skin to skin contact. This is a very very common virus. Most women can have the virus and never know it because the warts show up inside of the vagina also. Do not scratch or attempt to pop these bumps because this will likely cause them to spread. The bumps may go away on their own but can return again. Some people have one outbreak and then don't have any others the rest of their life. There are several treatments available including creams, freezing, and minor surgery to remove the bumps. I have seen great success with a cream called Aldera. Talk to your doctor about this. I have added some links for more detailed information:
