Hello again,
I would suggest that you see a neurologist who can help to evaluate your pain as well as your inability to use your arm. There is a possibility that your surgery may have little to do with the arm issues, but a neurologist would be a good source of evaluating the problems in greater detail and without bias.
I would make sure that the neurologist that you choose is not a part of the same clinic group.
It is always good to bring your medical records with you as it helps the consultant to better evaluate what tests need to be done rather than repeat those already ordered.
When you make the appt, make sure that you ask for a consult. This will allow more time sheduled for the appt. When explaining your reason for the consult, state your concerns, symptoms and recent history to the physician consultant, but be careful not to be judgemental regarding your surgeon who performed your surgery.
It may very well be that the surgery had little to do with the symptoms you are now experiencing. And of course you want the consultant to maintain an open mind as well as he evaluates you further. You do not want to leave the impression that you are a disgruntled patient.
You have to keep in mind that your goal is to find out the reason for the pain and your lack of your ability to use your arm and get the proper treatment to resolve it.
I hope that I have helped, but if you have any further concerns, please let me know.
