If your big toenail has been damaged severely and the nail bed has been damaged, is there any type of surgery available so that a false nail can be put on as a false nail will not stick to skin.

Hello,

No, there is no surgery that would implant a toenail.

Pacific World Corp. (via Revlon) is seeing success with artificial toenails, which launched the product more than a year ago.

You may want to discuss this with a pedicurist at a nail salon. It may not be a possibility in your case, if there is not enough nail left to attach the nail. The same technique is used in applying these as is done on the fingernails.

You could seek a consult with a dermatologist to determine if there is any other treatment available.

Reply to Deborah's Post: If no type of surgery is available in this country what about abroad. Although a little of the nail was attached, i had a false nail put on which came off, taking off the little bit of the nail, which i dont know whether it will grow again.
