I had rotator cuff surgery 3 1/2 months ago. Been doing pt but feel i am at a medical end result leaving me with alot of pain and partial use of my arm. I had an mri done on 8/6/06. The findings read: "Fluid is identified within the subacromial/subdeltoid bursa. There is minimal thickening and increased signal intensity within the distal supraspinatus tendon. No definite partial or full thickness rotator cuff tear identified. The biceps anchor and tendon are unremarkable. No muscle atrophy. There are scattered small foci of increased susceptibility within the soft tissues adjacent to the acromion likely representing small foci of metal introduced during the recent surgery."
"Conclusion: Subacromial/subeltoid bursitis. Minimal Suprasinatus Tendinopathy.:
HELP??????? CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT ALL OF THIS IS IN SIMPLE TERMS FOR ME? I ASKED MY SURGEON BUT ALL HE SAID WAS THAT EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL FOR POST OP.....BUT HE KEPT ASKING ME IF I HAD EVER HAD SURGERY BEFORE ON THIS SHOULDER, HE ASKED LIKE THREE TIMES.....THE ANSWER IS NO, NO, NO...I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY SURGERY ON MY SHOULDER IN MY LIFE. COULD THIS FOCI OF METAL MEAN THAT HE LEFT SOMETHING IN THERE WHEN HE DID THE SURGERY? OR THAT SOME UTINSEL USED BROKE IN THERE DURING SURGERY? PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
IRENE
