I have been diagnosed with Graves Disease. I do not have a thyroid and I am taking Synthroid. About 9 months ago my eyes starting to bulge and were red and dry. When I woke up in the morning they were the worst. A lot of matter in eyes, eye pain above my eyebrow. I have been taking prednisone on and off for 6 months. I am now going to see an orbital specialist in a couple of weeks. What is an orbital specialist and what is he going to do for me? I am getting very frustrated that my eyes are not getting better but worse.
