I have a knot in my chest after a had triple by-pass surgery on the le

I am a male patient, I had heart by-pass surgery, in February 2006. About 1 month afte surgery, I noticed a knot that was coming up under my skin about the size of a baseball. It comes and goes. When it is there, it is very painful. Sometimes I feel numbess in legs and tingling. I went to my doctor and surgeon and they said it ws something maybe muscular from having the surgery. They ran test on my heart and it came back fine. I am in some kind of pain from this place most of the time. The pain gets really server at times. My family has seen the knot under my skin too. I just keeping hitting brick walls and I do not know what to do. I can not figure out why it is something that comes and goes. I have been on anti-flametory medication. Nothing is helping. I am 39 years old, and I am in pain most of the time. Please help- do I need to go to another kind of doctor or has anyone else had this happpen to them. I can not believe that I might have to live with this pain for the rest of my life. I do not know if I said - the pain and knot that is the size of a baseball is in the left hand side of to top of my chest,

I have went to my surgeon and my heart docor, there is nothing they can do. They said it was something that I am going to have to live with.
