Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy)-

Ovarian cysts can absolutely be removed during a laproscopic surgery. As for why a doctor wouldn't remove an ovarian cyst during surgery is complicated - they may have felt that the cyst wasn't a danger or was small enough to become reabsorbed (as most cysts do). The only way to truly be sure why a doctor didn't remove a cyst is by asking the doctor.

If this is something regarding you personally (e.g., if you had a laproscopic procedure done and a cyst wasn't removed), and you are concerned about the outcome, you should absolutely contact the doctor who did the procedure to find out more information.

Sincerely,
Emily
