I am a 35 yr old man. I had open heart surgery 1 year ago and started on cumidine. Today I thought I was having a bloody nose but yellow fluid, not blood, flowed. It has stopped now but no one has heard of such a thing. What could it be and what should I do if it starts again?

Optional Information:
Male , Age: 35

Already Tried:
calling my sister who called the cumiden clinic and nursing hotline. No one has any idea what it could be.

Hello,

I would suggest that you make an appointment with an otolaryngologist, (ear, nose & throat specialist).

The nasal discharge you are experiencing is not caused by the Coumadin. You may have a sinus infection or nasal polyp that is causing this. A yellow discharge from your nose is an indication of an infection.
