My father had surgery 3 weeks ago, he had cancer in his prostate. The dr performed the procedure that "freezes" the bad cells, after the surgery, my father took anibiotics for infection prevention. Two weeks ago, he went to the dr and he had an infection and received 4 shots, consecutive days, for that infection. My father is still sick, and the dr told him today that he may have an E Coli infection. I am worried because everthing I have read about E coli says that one of the results of this infection is renal failure, and my father only has one kidney, the other was removed when he was a teenager. He is 66 years old. Am I over reacting or should I be more involved and speak to his dr? Thank you for your help!!
