Can muscle atrophy in the foot get better after nerve surgery to reconnect the severed medial Plantar nerve. It's been 7 1/2 months since I had a surgery on my ankle. My surgeon severed my medial and lateral Plantar nerve, and I am thinking about getting surgery to re-attach. Is it a good idea to get this surgery, and if I do will my nerves and muscles get their function back?
