Hello my friend,

I understand your concerns and I will do everything I can to help you. I am also available to answer any follow up questions that you may have. I can help give you an idea of what may be going on however do keep in mind that you would need to be seen by a doctor to be properly diagnosed. I know what your going through because I myself had to have my gallbladder removed after the birth of my first son.

In some cases removing the gallbladder doesn't always take care of the problem if the liver is filled with stones. These are typically suctioned out with the removal of the gallbladder but in some cases more stones can form if dietary changes are not made after surgery which can lead to more problems and pain. Stones can accumulate and become clogged in the common bile duct which goes from the liver to the small intestine. Sometimes this little tube will even balloon in size and create a pouch almost like a mini gallbladder to hold stones. Some people tend to be more prone to developing stones. Additional surgery may be necessary.

The pain may also be caused from your kidneys. Kidneys are located high up on your back and in some cases the pain from kidney disease or kidney stones can be mistaken for gallbladder pain because the pain can radiate and feel as though its coming from the stomach area. The best thing to do is to see your doctor as soon as possible and request and upper GI ultrasound to have your liver, liver ducts, kidneys and other organs looked at. Any type of pain should be taken seriously especially when there has been a prior surgery.

I hope this helps. Please click on accept otherwise please request more information. I am always here to help. I wish you the best of luck!

Have a wonderful day!

Sarah :)
