Hi, I have uterine fibroids and am taking Lupron injections once a month to shrink them (I've had them four times so far out of the six total times I'm going to have them before I have surgery). I have this weird tingling/palpating feeling in the upper right side of my abdomen that hurts and feels kind of numbing as well. I've told my doctor and she has ruled out my gallbladder, pancreas, colon, kidneys from tests she's done. I am still baffled at what could cause that and tonight I have been laughing for no reason what so ever and am getting annoyed with myself. I do not do drugs, I don't drink. The only meds I take are Allegra 60 mg, Paxil 40 mg., Flovent Inhaler 2 puffs/day, Multi-Vitamin, Vitamin E, Calcium Vitamin. Please help!

Already Tried:
Have had IVP to check kidneys, vaginal ultrasound (found fibroids and ovarian cysts), Laproscopy (found more fibroids and no Endometriosis), Pelvic ultrasound to check gallbladder, CT scan with dye to check pancreas.......everything comes back fine yet this pain/numbness feeling is driving me nuts and everyone looks at me like I'm nuts when I describe it and show where it is since it doesn't seem common and they don't seem to know what could cause it. I eat a balanced diet and have even tried bland food or not eating but still have that feeling.

Thank you for your answer. One thing though, I only had one incision from the Laproscopy right below my belly button and the pain/numbness/tingling sensations are right below the end of my ribcage on my right side. Does this change your diagnosis or do you still think it's nerve issues. If it's nerve issues, do these always go away or could it be something I have to live with forever? Once you answer this, I will definitely click accept. Thank you!

Dr. Sandra, I wanted to make sure that knowing I only had once incision from the Laproscopy doesn't change your diagnosis. Please Advise. Also, does this go away or stay forever? If it stays forever, how can I treat it? Thank you!

Hello Customer (name blocked for privacy), Im sorry for the delay as I was offline. Even though you had only a single incision, it can still be a cause for the nerve entrapment and pain, numbness, tingling etc. It may reduce abd disappear with time which varies from person to person depending on the pain tolerance levels or personal neurosensory adaptations. Since all the other tests of serious diseases are normal, you should not worry about it as such.It will usually be reduced with time or you may consult a neurologist and take shotsof neurovitamins like B1, niacin,B12 etc even though you are taking the usual dose of multivitamins.

I hope my answer is helpful to you. Please press the GREEN ACCEPT button to accept my answer and a positive feedback from you will be an added bonus for me.
