Deb,

He might want to consider a spinal cord stimulator. I have seen this help many people and helps to avoid excessive narcotics.

Which type of dr.should he inquire about this spinal cord stimulation procedure with in AZ? A neurologist? Thanks again Dr. Alexander. I'm so afraid the uncontrolled pain will cause him to commit suicide someday. He is already drinking alcohol daily.

One more question about my brother's symptoms from his neck/back and nerve damage to legs. He has had periodic clicking in ears and a sore ear recently. He also said his penis was vibrating. Is this all related to nerve damage? I will pay more for these additional responses. Thanks so much!

D,

The ear clicking sounds like Eustachian tube dysfunction, and is usually treated successfully with Zyrtec or Claritin.

See:

As far as the penis vibrating, this is likely unrelated to his other neurologic problems and for this he needs a urologist for a prostate exam.
