my left pupil significantly dialated this morning after I had an allergic reaction to my cat(touched the cat, touched my eye) and put eye drops in to flush it out. Although it has returned to normal, I had a headache and slight nausea as a result of the strain and just wanted to make sure that there isn't something more to worry about. This has happened before, but never to the extreme that it happened this morning.

As long as your symptoms are getting better and not worse then you should be okay. I suggest flushing your eyes several more times today for an extra added precaution and you may also want to take a dose of Benadryl every 12 hours until all allergic reactions symptoms have gone away. You will have the headache and the nausea but as long as the nausea does not turn into vomiting then I feel that you did the correct thing in flushing your eye. If you start to have any trouble breathing, further redness of the eye, or any swelling then it might be cause for you to contact your physician. I hope this information will be helpful to you and if you have any further questions please feel free to ask.
