can a tetanus shot cause mild symptoms of tetanus?
Sent to Health Experts October 24 10:24 AM

My boyfriend shot himself with a nail gun at work, it was a "clean" nail, it wasn't rusty. He was given a tetnus shot within 24 hours. This happened on 10/20/05, in the afternoon, he was given the shot on 10/21/05 mid morning. Now 10/24/05 he is experiencing cold sweats. Is this normal??? He paid $140 for the shot because he doesn't have insurance, so I would really like to know if it will be necessary for him to see the doctor again, at this point.

Thank you,
Kristina Morales
