I had a regular period beginning 10/11 in the evening through 10/14. I am taking birth control pills (tri-levlen). Since about a week ago I have been really tired, having lots of heartburn, a little nausea in the afternoons, and I have had some dizinness.... what does this all mean?

Optional Information: Female , Age: 23
Already Tried:
tried taking a day off to sleep and see if that would help with the fatigue.... I eat at regular times and try to eat fairly healthy...

Reply to Lindie's Post: well, I have been taking the pill for about 4 years but in June I ran out of my prescription and didn't take the pill for about 3 weeks (was abstinant during this time) then began taking the pills again.... This is my 4th pill pack since I started again.

If it's your 4th pack since starting again and you are just starting with these symptoms I don't feel the 2 are related at all. If you are sure you have not missed any pills then chances are you shouldn't be pregnant. Even though some of these signs could point to being pregnant. Another possible is that you may be getting the flu.. and it's fighting your system. You don't say anything about a fever. There are several causes for these symptoms but to pin point what would be the exact cause would be hard without seeing you in person. I would take it easy and rest all weekend, make sure to drink plenty of fluid. Stay away from Cola, caffeine products try to drink water and juice. If you are feeling no better at all by Monday then make and appt to be seen. Also since you have the heartburn, try not to let your stomach get empty which will produce stomach acid. Try to eat a bland diet for the weekend too. Like soup, toast, crackers, jello. Stay away from fried, greasy, spicy foods. If you happen to get really bad during the weekend then you may want to go to the ER. But I think once you let your stomach settle a bit, get plenty of fluid you should start to feel much better.

Reply to Lindie's Post: While this is sort of helpful, I feel like I still don't have any answers. I also forgot to mention that I have been abnormally thirsty lately. My mouth feels dry almost constantly. I'm not sure if that makes any difference.
About the heartburn, I have had heartburn before, but it is just a lot more frequent the past week. I have paid attention to what I eat and when I get heatburn. I even still have heartburn after eating minestroni soup with saltines.... Don't know if this helps any. :)
Thank you though, for your help, I guess I should probably try to see someone.... My family has a history of stomach cancer so I keep a pretty close eye on it. :)

It would be a lot easier for me to pin point with some follow up test results. But there are several causes to what you are experiencing to be able to say.. Hey it's this.. or that.. So do make an appt. Please do follow up with me through PM and let me know how you make out.

Thanks
