my son has been sick for 8 days, symptoms include following, High fever 101.5 to 102.00 white patches on throat, tired, tender left side and right side, nausea, throwing up, dry cough. Took him to the doctor tested 3 times for mono, 2 times for strep, both show negitive, he is on cephalexin and promethazine. His fever broke on day 8 but now is having very bad stomach pains and his right side is very tender. The doctor office did do a cbc but only told me he is negative for mono, did not tell me anything else. He is drinking small sips of water, drank small amount of ensure but throws it up.
His lips are very very dry and flaking and he has lost about 5-6 lbs.
