Question

I am a 62 year old male, 226 pounds, active, healthy, ...

I am a 62 year old male, 226 pounds, active, healthy, non-smoker, very light drinker. A couple of months ago, I became very fatigued. I would do a little something in the yard and would have to stop and come in and take a nap. This was not me! I went to my doctor and he ran blood tests and they came back with high liver enzymes in the 400 range. I was then referred to a gastroenterologist and he tested my enzymes and they were now in the 700 range. Now a little over 2 weeks later he tested my enzymes again and they are now pushing 1100! My concern is at what point will my liver begin to fail? There is no sense of urgency with this doctor. I am going for a liver biopsey in a couple of days, but don't have to return to his office for another two weeks! The weird thing is I have no symptoms of liver failure. The only thing is I still get tired quickly and now my urine in becoming dark (burnt orange color). How long am I supposed to wait before I can expect results?
