what are the systoms of i.b.s., and how is it treated? i suffer from painfull colon cramps almost on a daily basis, out of a 7 day period i eather can'tgo poop or can't get to the bathroom fast enough. i aslo have gas daily. i am not being treated of this i don't have insureance, so i can see a dr.

The main symptoms of IBS are crampy pain in the stomach area, and painful diarrhea or constipation. Most people have either diarrhea or constipation, but some people have both.
Other symptoms are mucus in the stool, swollen or bloated abdomen, and the feeling that you have not finished a bowel movement. Treatment may involve diet changes, medicine, and stress relief. You can read more about IBS here
