Since you wiped after the diarrhea, chances are this may be actual Hemorrhoids. If you are able to, you can take a mirror and look for yourself and carefully feel around. Some Hemorrhoids are very small and you may not even feel it or actually have pain from it, unless it's inflamed, unless you feel the bleeding is actually coming from your vaginal area. Which in that case could be do to the hormonal changes for starting back on the pill. Which then can take back up to 3 cycles to regulate again. As for the clots from the vaginal area, When menstrual bleeding is heavy, clotting can also occur. All blood contains a clotting factor. To enable menstrual blood to flow freely from the uterus and leave your body without clotting, the uterus produces an anti-clotting agent. If the menstrual loss is heavy, it is possible that the anti-clotting agent will be used up before a period has finished, so that the remaining blood is likely to form clots.
So check with the mirror (unless you have someone (a friend) whom you trust could look perhaps as well.. but not sure how that will go with being in Iraq :)
Below are two excellent sites that explain about Hemorrhoids as well and what can cause and treatment along with prevention.
