I am working on a case study for pharmacology class 58 African American male hx hypertension ,renal insufficiency,gastric ulcer 8 yrs ago d/t etoh abuse had EGD.STOPPED ETOH USE AT THAT TIME.7 days ago he was placed on indocin and flexeril for muscle strain.Regular medications(asa325qd,Micro k,Zestoretic20/25 ,advil prn,tagamet prn)also hx l ventricular hypertrophy.Presants today c/o abd pain 4/10,cramping typre pain,mild congestion and sobsymptoms started 5 days ago pt feels like he may have flu.Examination :slight bibasilar ralse,+1 edema lower ext.+JVD,SOME DIFFICULTY WITH URINATION vs BP 133/90 ,pulse 80 r 18 temp 99 also 5 lbs wt gain wt 185,ht 5ft.9.

He wants me to identify the toxicities of NSAIDS dthat the patient is exhibiting? And how can these toxicities be treated or minimized? I know the PA never did blood work and the patient already has hx. of renal insufficiency.
