If there are absolutely no signs of inflammation, like pain/ swelling then you may wait for a few days before getting youself evaluated , however if you have any pain/swelling/ discomfort, then this could be indicative of a knee pathology. The symptoms are not specific enough to localize the problem however a mensical injury is a possibility,

Relist: I still need help.
what exactly is the squish noise coming from, if it is a miniscual tear/injury what other symptoms would i be seeing, oterwise what could it be without the pain/swelling etc, i would think with a tear there would be pain associated, or not?
would an anti-imflmatory do the trick or shot of cortizon?
i still dont get the squish thing that i keep hearing when i go down the steps or sit down.
thank you
please elaborate.
