What are symptoms of Femerol hernia?

Sent to Health Experts April 17 09:16 AM

^6 month history of RLQ pain. Sudden appearance of right groin bulge with emergency surgery repair. Shouldn't docs have been aware of this diagnosis before acute symptom developed?

PVPP,

On physical exam, your doctor should have noticed something, as symptoms would include a lump in the groin or upper thigh, and discomfort. Hernias in general are only operated on if there is discomfort and to prevent complications such as incarceration and strangulation. It is usually elective surgery, so surgery typically will not be done unless it is strangulated.

PVPP,

As your doctor and surgeon will know your complete medical history, any scopes used for laparoscopy will be placed in an area that will not interfere with the mesh. As time goes by, tissue will also grow around the mesh to support it.
