I have been trying to get pregnant. According to ovulation tests, I ovulated 19 days ago. I have not yet gotten my period, but pregnancy tests keep coming up negative. Its driving me crazy not knowing! Are the pregnancy test correct, or is my missed period correct ( I am 5 days late)?

Since you are only 5 days late, it may be that the test you are using is not sensitive enough. Home test are not 100% accurate. Even those that do get a positive reading, are not always pregnant. You can either wait a 72 hours. hCG (pregnancy hormone) rises generally every 72 hours. So wait that amount of time and re-test again if you don't start. Make sure to follow the directions exactly and use your first morning urine. If you get another Neg- then I would actually confirm this with your doctor via blood testing just to make sure. Sometimes when woman are trying to get pregnant, they can actually delay menstruation and start to have symptoms of pregnancy because they are actually want to be pregnant. So try to relax over the weekend. Try again in a couple of days and see how it goes.

Best of luck, hopefully there is a Congrats in the near future :)Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *accept* button!
