I have been diagnosed with a hole in the retina of my right eye. The retinal physician did a series of laser shots to repair the hole this past Monday. He did give me some written information about the description of the thing but no prognosis, that is, what can I expect and told me to come back in 3 weeks. Am I now more prone to a detached retina? Should I have restricted my activities after the laser photocoagulation treatment?. My 3 symptoms have changed little (flashing light, floaters, and vision field that looks like I looking though a dirty finger print is on my lens). This retinal physician is calling that out of focus vision field a issue related to a cataract....since it appeared suddenly with the rest I do not believe it, plus this finger print dirt seems to be getting worse by the day....Can you get me some advise?
