Sent to Health Experts June 07, 2006 8:34 p.m.

In March I had symptoms that pointed to possible gallstones: nausea, pain through stomach to back, bloating, gas. I had a sonogram which was negative for stones. The pain continued and I figured out on my own I was lactose intolerant and now take enzymes. However, I still have extreme amouts of gas and bloating even when I do not eat any dairy products. At times it seems no matter what I eat, I will have this extreme amout of gas and bloating. Also, from the beginning in March I have had stools which have small (size of blunt pencil point) to medium (size of eraser tip on pencil) in my stools. Stools have become somewhat tan in color. Also after eating, my stomach will rumble.....and I know a huge bout of gas is on its way. Please help. Is this a digestive issue? Do I have some sort of bacterial infection in my bowels?
