SUNLIGHT AND DISEASES
Sent to Health Experts June 17 06:21 PM

Hi, I am wondering if there could be some diseases that have sun-induced reactions.
For the third time this summer I have had severe itching on all exposed skin, extreme fatigue and lethargy, and nausea following sun exposure. I am not sun bathing, for hours on end, and I am not performing any strenous labor. The first instance, I was in a swimming pool for about 1 hr, no longer, and I was not swimming laps or anything like that, I was just splashing around with the kids. I ended up with bright red sunburn, itchiness to the point of I was clawing at my skin, fatigue and nausea so much that I ended up in bed for about 3 hours following the exposure, and nausea so that I did not even want to attempt to eat that day or the next. I felt terrible. The second time, 6 days later, I was watching a baseball game, wearing spf 45 sunscreen (there was no sunscreen the first time), sitting underneath a black umbrella, I ended up with the same symptoms, and a sunburn. The third time, which was today, 14 days after the second exposure, I was watching a baseball game, spf 45, 2 hrs in the sun. I have all the same symptoms again, and a sunburn. Clearly this spf 45 is not protecting me as I had hoped, but I wonder why. I am sitting right next to other people that are not wearing sunscreen, or under an umbrella, and they are fine, I have even asked if they were ill after the last baseball game, etc., but no one else around me seems to have problems.
Thanks so much. Customer (name blocked for privacy) :)
