I have fibromyalgia and I recently stopped taking Navane 2 mg., an antipsychotic medication. I feel I am going thru withdrawal but my psychiatrist disagrees. I have headaches, shakiness, upset stomach and weakness in my legs. Any suggestions for me? My plan is to slowly wean myself off the Navane, after stopping for 10 days, and take Ativan for the shakiness.

I would not stop for 10 days and then slowly wean off, you need to slowly wean off now gradually and then get to a stopping point after decreasing the dosage weekly. Yes the Ativan is a good idea as well, but you should slowly decrease you amount once a week with a 1/4 decrease in dosage daily. SO if you take three a day, then take two a day for one week, then 1 a day for one week and then half a pill a day for one week and then stop completely. This should also be performed with your doctor's advise as well, and make sure they are aware that you are wanting to wean off this medication. It does sound like you are suffering from some withdrawl symptoms if you are experiencing shakiness, headachesm and upset stomach as these are classic signs of withdrawl.
