Reply to James's Post: I have been having lower back pain for several months now. It seems like the Motrin and Ibuprofen don't really do much. Is it possible that I may have something else wrong? Can kidney problems besided Kidney stones cause lower back pain?

Reply to James's Post: No I have not had any of those symptoms. I have strained my back several times playing sports and lifting heavy pieces of furniture.

My doctor said something about two lower back bones rubbing together causing numbness and pain. It didn't seem like that was what I thought was wrong. He basically told me to take motrin and stuff and deal with the pain.
