What do you think caused it? Do you have a toothache? Did you get in a fight? Did you bite it? Do you have any other symptoms such as pain, fever, chills, etc that would suggest infection?

I do have a toothache and been meaning to go to the doctor. But the swollen started when I woke up this morning. There's no fever or anything beside the swollen. Is there a way I can calm down or get rid off the swollen ? I wonder if it'll get bigger ? Thanks

Sometimes if you have a cavity the swelling can involve soft tissue, such as your cheek and gums. If you let it go too long, then it can abscess and that involves much pain, fever, and antibiotics and THEN you can have the cavity removed. So, for now, I would take ibuprofen (800 mg every 6-8 hours) to help with pain and swelling, alternate heat and ice on it and drink lots of water and get in to the dentist as soon as possible! Make sure they know your symptoms so they can get you in sooner than later! Good luck!
