Question

genital warts spread orally

Sent to Health Experts July 04, 2006 6:27 p.m.

i gave oral sex to a guy and he had bumps on the top of his penis, could this be warts? If so I looked online and it said that if spread orally it could spread to your lungs and be fatal. Is that correct? Also that there is no cure or treatment for oral warts. Should I be concerned about my son drinking after me?

It can be genital warts .

There was a sentence in the internet it says " It is also fatal if the warts spread to your lungs " . But the source of this sentence is unknown. So i can not tell.

There is no cure for the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is the virus that causes genital warts. However, the symptoms can be treated.

The virus is also present in the saliva of people with oral herpes. It may be wise not to share a drinking cup with someone else if you are having an oral herpes.

There is no evidence that HPV is directly transmitted through body fluids such as saliva, but there have been cases where HPV has been transmitted as a result of oral sex.

So if he has genital warts protection has to always be worn? And if I understand you correctly, it is rare but possible for them to be tranferred orally?
